I have always heard a lot about Canton First Trade Mondays but had never taken the time to drive out there until this past weekend! If you haven't heard about the Canton Flea, it happens every weekend before the first Monday of each month. My original plan was to head out on Saturday but with Halloween the night before let's just say I didn't wake up early enough. Unfortunately, I didn't make it until the very last day of the flea, but getting there was easy and parking was only $5! I didn't realize how HUGE the Canton Flea is, you could literally spend all weekend wandering around. I would say the majority of the flea is for more shabby chic or traditional style people. Lots of cute things but my home decor style is Mid Century and Palm Springs Hollywood Regency. I was mainly on the hunt for a pair of nightstands and a small stool (which I did not find). But they do have tons of cute knick knacks if you need little things to decorate your home with. One thing I fell in love with was the pink B sign. However it was just a little too big for my room. I wish it was smaller! But all in all W and I had a fun time exploring everything Canton has to offer. It was definitely a Sunday well spent.

TIPS FOR FLEA MARKETS // ANTIQUING:
- Always bring cash even if vendors accept credit cards. People are more willing to negotiate the price if you have cash.
- Be on the lookout for a diamond in the rough. Even amongst the junk you can find a solid piece of furniture. All it needs is a little love and a fresh coat of paint.
- Find unique accents for your home. I'm always on the lookout for anything milk glass and cool decanters for my bar cart.
- Look at the art. You can find original pieces of art for hardly nothing! And even if you don't like the art, you can always use the frame for something else.
