I have a love affair with anything vintage. I love the hunt for the perfect vintage piece of furniture - stalking flea markets, estate sales, and vintage stores. It took me more than 6 months to find the most perfect bar cart. I knew I didn't want to buy a bar cart that I would see at every other friend's house. I knew I wanted mine to be different, special, one-of-a-kind. I put the time and effort into treasure hunting and it paid off. I found this Art Deco style bar cart at a vintage store in the Design District here in Dallas. It was over-priced but I negotiated and got the price reasonably reduced (you must always bargain!).
Once I got the bar cart of my dreams, I knew I needed to find fun glassware and decanters to accessorize it. Most of my glassware is vintage (#addicted). If you want to go the vintage route, I recommend purchasing Culver or George Briard glasses. They are high quality and have beautiful designs! I personally think a bar cart should have a lot of interesting accents - colorful cocktail napkins, chevron straws, a snake print tray, a milk glass bowl, to name a few. I believe there is only one rule in decorating - buy what you love and go with it!
