My 2015 was a year to remember and I cannot wait to see what 2016 has in store. Of course the year was filled with many ups and downs but I achieved many milestones that I am so proud of:
1. Moved to San Francisco
I stepped out of my comfort zone 5 short months ago and moved to SF and havent looked back! Anyone that knows me, knows I am 100% a Texas girl, but Dallas was starting to feel dull and W and I were ready for a new adventure. I feel so blessed that my parents helped me support this dream of ours. We both moved here without jobs so this adventure would not be possible without them. I truly fall more in love with this city every day. Although it isnt always easy, (ahem taking the bus in the rain which never seems to run on time) but then I spy the most charming of houses and everything suddenly feels more than okay. There is so much to do here in the city and beyond and now that we finally brought a car out here, we cannot wait to explore along the coastline. But dont worry, Texas always has my heart.
2. Reached 10K followers on Instagram!
This was a huge and exciting milestone for me! It truly humbles me that I have 10K followers who are actively interested in what I wear and say. Although I originally started this little blog with my bestie Kait last October, I feel as though I have just started making it my own with the transition of K leaving this past July. It feels as though I essentially started a new blog once I moved to San Francisco. It no longer has wonderful recipes or healthy eating tips (sorry yall, that was all Kait!) but my hope is to bring more interior design (another love of mine) along with more travel adventures as W and I continue to explore in 2016.
3. W and I moved in together
This may not seem like a huge milestone to all, but it was truly exciting and wonderful to move in with my best friend. It’s definitely been a learning experience living with a boy and learning how to compromise. Since we live in a tiny apartment, the idea of “personal space” has gone out the window! But it has been so fun making the apartment our own. Luckily, Warren likes my interior design style (mid century modern with a bohemian flare) but there are times when W puts his foot down when it’s too girly:) We may bicker on what to watch on TV but everyday is an adventure with him and I cannot wait for many more!
My 2016 resolutions are simple, but I think they will bring great happiness:
- Travel more
- Save more
- Be grateful everyday
I hope yall have a fun and safe new year! May it be filled with friends, family, good health, and adventure.
