Shortly after moving to Dallas, I became OBSESSED with Nektar Juice Bar. I could eat an Acaii Banana Berry Bowl with a Toxin Flush Juice everyday if I had the money to do so -- but until I win the lottery, I decided to try making my own Toxin Flush at home.
I recently bought this Hamilton Beach Juicer and I could not be happier with it (not to mention it was only $60?! Steal). I know everyone huffs and puffs about how cleaning a juicer is such a pain, but it really is not that bad! This juicer came with a small brush that makes clean up super simple.
TIP: Keep your produce bags from the grocery store and place them in the pulp bin every time you juice. This makes clean up much easier as you don't have to clean the pulp bin each time! Also, be sure to rinse your juicer as soon as you are finished so remaining pulp doesn't harden (making it more difficult to clean, especially out of the cutting blade/strainer section).
TOXIN FLUSH COPYCAT RECIPE
- 1 Apple (I use Gala)
- 1 Lemon
- Fresh Ginger (Start with a small amount to start and add more to taste. I usually ad about a 1.5" piece)
- 1 Handful of Parsley
- 1-2 cups of Spinach
Juice all ingredients and voila! I like to put my juice in large tumbler and top it off with water and ice. It is oh SO good - and tastes remarkably similar to Nektar's Toxin Flush.
Feeling Sweet? Add a beet to your juice to give it some extra sweetness!
