Early last week I thought it would be a brilliant idea to bike from Fisherman's Wharf to Sausalito (across the Golden Gate Bridge). Because obvi it would be a fun adventure and would be a gorgeous bike ride. When I first told W about this idea of mine, he responded - "Seriously?! I'm down, but do you think you can make it?!" (Don't worry he said it as nice as possible...) I was like "Duh! I can make it! I'm in shape, it'll be an easy ride and so much fun!"
What I didn't know was that it was going to be 90+ degrees and that we would ride several steep hills. Umm y'all, I'm SO not in shape!!! My thighs were burning the ENTIRE time! I was so over it before we even got to the Golden Gate Bridge! See that photo of me jumping? I thought I was going to fall flat on my face because I had ZERO energy left!! I need to get my butt to a gym!!
Although it was a workout, at the end of the day, it was SO WORTH IT! It was such a different experience biking across the beautiful bridge. We could really take in all the views. Sausalito was also THE cutest town ever!! W and I ate a well deserved late lunch (as well as a few margaritas...) at Copita! I highly recommend going there if you're ever in the area! Their Mexican corn is to-die-for.
Sorry I do not have any photos of Sausalito! By the time we got there, W and I were just too pooped to do anything but eat and relax! Haha!
