Since San Francisco is so expensive, W and I were looking for ways to save money when we first moved here. #HelpMeImPoor One easy way to do this was to not get cable. GASP! I know, I’ll let your jaw drop to the floor for a second. Although I was originally hesitant to do this (hellooo how am I going to watch as my trash TV shows?!), I am so glad we did! I got the new Apple TV for W’s birthday a few months ago and it has been the best thing ever! It’s almost like a phone now where you can download all different apps. We have a lot of cable apps such as ABC, NBC, Showtime, HBO, CBS, etc. What’s so cool about these apps is that not only can you select episodes to watch; you can also stream live TV! Obviously you need to have a cable account to do so hopefully one friend or family member would be willing to share their account info (thanks mom and dad!) We mainly watch Netflix but it’s still great to be able to watch some current TV shows – aka Criminal Minds, my favorite show ever! But what was seriously missing in my life was HGTV, which was always my go-to TV channel. I was having Property Brothers and Fixer Upper withdrawals until I discovered last night that HGTV has an app!! PRAISE JESUS! Let’s just say I’ve been binge watching all things home renovation.
Thank goodness I didn’t discover the HGTV app over the weekend because I don’t think I would of left the couch! This past Sunday, W and I ventured over to the Lyon Street Steps over in Pac Heights. Not only is this neighborhood filled with the most beautiful homes, but they also have the most gorgeous views! Wish we could afford to live in this hood ;) I wore one of my favorite heart tunics – I’m so sorry it’s now sold out and I cant find it anywhere online!! I did however find a similar one I linked below. But next time we come over here, I’m thinking I need to wear my work out gear and run these steps! Working out can’t be that bad when you get to look at this view, right?
