I have been eyeing this free people dress for a few months and couldn't decide whether I should pull the trigger or not. I had seen it on quite a few people already and didnt want it to get "tired." But since I still loved the dress months later so I decided it was worth it to purchase and knew it would make the perfect festival outfit!
I love how the colorful embroidery really pops against the black making such a beautiful statement! Dresses are easily the most comfortable wear for music festivals, especially in the heat, even though Austin was experiencing a "cold front." Not going to lie, my body has definitely acclimated to the cooler temps in San Francisco and I find anything above 80 degrees hot - haha! #wimp #sweatsohard
I jazzed up this dress with my favorite hat, which literally wore it every day of the festival, and with my favorite flat booties and some cool chokers to make the dress even more boho chic. Or as my brother would like to call it "hipster", although I do not consider myself a hipster at all! I just love anything with a little bohemian flair! Hipster and boho are completely different in my eyes.
Anyways, W and I took it easy during the morning and grabbed some Taco Shack aka the best breakfast tacos EVER! Highly recommend stopping by one of their many locations whenever you're in Austin next. We got to the grounds a little after noon and immediately hit up the festival store as we wanted to grab a tee and a poster to commemorate our fun weekend! Fun fact: W and I buy a poster to any concert and/or festival we go to. We have a concert poster gallery wall in our apartment and we love seeing all the fun concerts we've been to together. Brings back such fun memories and it's one decor item W and I never argue about ;) I can't wait until we move into a larger house and/or apartment so we can continue to expand this gallery wall as we are running out of room!
The bands we listed to on Saturday were:
- Saint Motel
- DJ Mustard
- LL Cool J
- AlunaGeorge (SO good!)
- Cage the Elephant
- The Chainsmokers (to be honest, really only liked their already popular songs, didn't care as much for their other mixes)
- Kygo (AMAZING!! W and I were already obsessed with him before ACL and are even more obsessed now. Favorite show of ACL!)
