Last weekend W and I decided that we would wake up early one morning to go catch the sunrise over the Marin Headlands. When the time came to actually we wake up, we hit the snooze button one too many times! But we luckily were able to still catch the sunrise in time! I honestly can't remember the last time I woke up early enough to enjoy the sunrise. It's truly magical (especially over the landscape of SF) and something we want to do more often.
I wanted to be warm and comfy as the Marin Headlands can require some hiking depending on where you want to go! We ended up finding a trail and followed that (steep) path down and over to another hill for a breathtaking view of SF! I wore my new OluKai boots for this adventure and they were beyond comfy! I hate wearing chunky boots when it's not necessary so they were the perfect kicks for this early morning hike. They also come in a few other colors and I'm thinking I need the black pair next!
Although the view was gorgeous, the wind seriously almost knocked me over! It did not stop for one second the entire time we were out there! I think the wind wore us out more than the actual hiking did! Haha. Let's just say my hair was ruined for the rest of the day...
Luckily I have today off for presidents day so I'm having a leisurely morning at home sipping some coffee! Next up on the to do list: tackle the large pile of laundry in my closet! I hope y'all have a wonderful Monday!
