Happy Monday, y'all! Did y'all have a wonderful Easter weekend? W and I went to a fun Whiskies of the World event Saturday night which was literally a boat filled with too many different whiskey companies to count! W was in heaven. I still had a fabulous time although I do not drink any whiskey. The party was on a docked boat and taking in the sunset that evening was truly magical! See a snap from the night here.
On Easter Sunday, we went to mass at Grace Cathedral which is the most stunning cathedral in all of SF! It sits on top of a hill on California street and is reminiscent of Notre Dame. Going to mass there makes it an even more enjoyable experience. We arrived to mass right on time but it was crazy packed so we had to stand in the back. Thank goodness I wore flats!!
After mass, we grabbed brunch at Farmer Brown which I highly recommend if you live in SF or are visiting soon. I noshed on fried eggs, bacon, and yukon potatoes while W enjoyed fried chicken and waffles with a side of cheesy grits all while we listened to a great live jazz band! It was truly a feast but luckily we worked up an appetite as we had not eaten yet that day! But we definitely needed to walk around afterwards because we were just too uncomfortably full! That's when hilly SF truly comes in handy ;)
Okay, okay enough of the weekend talk! I need to tell y'all about this oh-so-cute cactus print dress! A new-to-me boutique called eShakti contacted me to see if I wanted to try out one of their fully customizable items. I was on the hook when I heard "customizable!" What's so cool is that for example, you can pick out a dress and tailor the neckline and length! Everything they carry on their website is customizable wether that be the fit or style of the dress! If you want to tailor the fit as opposed to the style of the dress, you send them your exact measurements and they make the dress (or top/skirt) exactly to your specs. So if you're super picky or you have a hard time finding something to fit you just right, eShakti will be your new best friend!!
For reference, I went with the "deep V neckline" and "above knee" length. Although I originally wished the hem of the dress was a tad shorter, I think this length will be perfect for the workplace! You can switch out the casual denim jacket with a blazer to make it more work-appropriate.
