So one of our best friends from college, Katie, decided to surprise my other friend Courtney for her birthday this past weekend! We hadn't all been reunited for TWO years! Two years, too long. We decided to take a trip up to Napa on Saturday since Katie had never been before. It was a whirlwind of laughter and wine! Big shout out to W for being the best DD and driving around a bunch of loud girls all day Saturday. #trooper #bestboyfriendaward
We started our day at The Fremont Diner and holy moly is that place GOOD! Seriously we brunched so hard. We bought a bottle of champs for mimosas pigged out on cheesy grits, fried chicken and waffles, deviled eggs, and more! I mean we had to get food in our systems before a big day of wine tasting, right?
After brunch, we went to Mumm to start the day with bubbles. Following that we headed to Clos Pegase for some really good Chardonnay. We needed a food break after our second tasting (we ate a lot this weekend…) so we grabbed lunch at Sol Bar. This place is pretty pricey but it's worth it for the cute views and yummy food! Another place I love to grab lunch is Gotts but the line is always super long! We discovered that ordering ahead of time is the way to go - just an FYI next time you're in the area ;) We finished the day with breathtaking views and a gondola ride at Sterling. To be honest, their wine is not my favorite but I think the whole experience there is well worth the fee.
Now onto my super cute Luca Love bracelets! When they first reached out to me, I was instantly obsessed with their mini macrame designs. But not only do they have beautiful bracelets, they have a beautiful mission. When you purchase one of their handmade bracelets, you are providing an opportunity of employment to women who struggle to support themselves and families in Colombia. Each bracelet sold also helps fund charity projects involving low-income families and individuals. There's nothing better than a company that gives back!
