It's very hard to wear dresses in San Francisco! It's just too freaking windy. That's why I immediately fell in love with this "dress" because it's actually a secret romper! I feel girly yet comfortable with no fear of an embarrassing "marilyn moment" while walking about the city! I of course had to throw a light jacket over the dress because of the chilly bay breeze but luckily it has been warm enough lately to wear outfits sans jacket during the day. Gotta love San Francisco summers ;)
One major thing I've noticed since moving to San Francisco almost a year ago is how my style has changed. Being from Austin, my style has always leaned towards a more boho yet girly look but then living in Dallas for 7 years I noticed my style become more "dressy." I would constantly wear heels everyday to work, would always wear heels out to dinner, and just tended to dress up in general.
Since moving to San Francisco, I've noticed that I've become a lot more casual and I think it has a lot to do with these hills and how much I walk every day! Living in Dallas, it didnt matter that I wore heels because I drove from home to work then to home again with minimal walking. Now I walk to the bus stop, to work, and to run errands! Hence goodbye heels! Even when we go out to dinner I barely reach for those "sky high" heels anymore. The bulkier the heel, the better.
I've always been a bootie girl but even my heeled booties are being worn a little less! I recently decided that I needed a legit pair of flat booties that would be comfortable (yet cute, obvi) to run around town in! I stumbled across these and they fit the bill - cute, comfy, and a great price! I'm seriously considering purchasing these in the other two colors because they are just THAT perfect.
