Ok, who else thinks that every weekend should be a three day weekend?! This girl sure does! The extra day is just truly the best. You can squeeze those errands that you keep pushing off or spend the day doing the activities you have been wanting to do but never seem to find the time for.
W and I had the most amazing long weekend. We started off the holiday weekend at Beach Blanket Babylon, which had us laughing and smiling the entire time. If you're unfamiliar with the show, it's a pop culture musical that follows along Snow White as she tries to find love throughout several cities and encounters some hilarious characters along the way such as Hillary Clinton, Caitlyn Jenner, and Oprah Winfrey. It's definitely a must see if you live in San Francisco or will be visiting anytime soon!
Then on Sunday we spent the better part of the morning out sailing on the bay, complete with mimosas of course. It was truly a fun and unique experience despite the cool temps and fog! I have a feeling that will not be the last time out on a sailboat! Hopefully next time it will be a little warmer (and sunnier.)
For the actual fourth, W and I picnicked in the park then ran some last minute errands. The fog rolled in in the early afternoon which quickly brought the temperature down. Since it was foggy and chilly we decided to skip out on the fireworks and have a relaxing evening at home. We sound so old but making a yummy dinner and enjoying a glass of wine sounded much better than freezing our butts off while watching the fog light up colors!
I got the chance to wear this oh-so-cute floral duster during a brief sunny stint in the city. The sleeves were great during those chilly windy bursts but they are still light weight enough if you live in a city where you don't have to worry about being cold during the summer time! I paired this duster with cut off denim shorts but I think it would also look great styled with skinny jeans and sandals. It's the perfect top to throw on to look effortlessly boho chic!
Happy short week my friends!
