I cannot believe this is my first blog post of 2017! So excited for the year ahead. January is a season of change and I love what that embodies. It's a time to reflect and think about how you can prepare for the new year and what changes and goals you'd like to make. It's so refreshing! Like spring cleaning for your closet but for your soul.
I've outlined my 2017 resolutions below! Let's see if I stick to them :)
1. Explore more.
I'd love to explore more of the surrounding bay area -- to Santa Cruz, Tahoe, Yosemite, Marin, and more California coastal cities. Warren and I eventually want to move back to Austin so it's time to take advantage of the beautiful bay area!
2. Read more.
I used to be an avid reader but lately I feel like I've been too busy to read and that's no excuse! Whenever I dive into a new book I remember how much I love to read. So it's time to shut off the TV or close the computer a little earlier to make time.. My goal is at least 1 book/month! Let me know if you have any recommendations!
3. Save more.
I always add to my savings every month but I'd love to save even more. Living in an expensive city such as San Francisco it can be a little tough to save a lot as there is always a fun new restaurant to try or a new pair of shoes I buy. But it's time to skip brunch every now and then and say no to those cute shoes and add more mula to the savings account. It'll be worth it in the long run right?! ;)
4. Live a healthy lifestyle.
I'd love to live a more healthy lifestyle. From doing more yoga to eating more veggies, I want to make more health conscious decisions in 2017!
5. Focus more creative energy on THIS + THAT.
I'm definitely a creative soul and sometimes I find that I don't put forth 100% of my creative juices into the blog. I often just want to get the post up so I can cross another thing off my to do list. But when I do that I'm not always satisfied with the result. So in 2017, I'd love to get more creative with my content and add in more interior design as I find that I love doing those types of posts most! I'd also love to take a photography class this year to enhance my photography skills which will then be reflected on my blog and Instagram. Let's get those creative juices flowing!
Happy 2017 y'all! May it be filled with love, laughter, health, and happiness.
