Alright so a week or so ago I got to try out PanIQ Room! And y'all it was SO BEYOND fun!! If you've never heard of PanIQ Room, let me give you a brief overview because you need to know. So to quickly summarize, PanIQ Room puts you in a situation where you have to figure out the clues in order to escape. Sounds easy enough right? WRONG! Y'all not going to lie, this shit is hard!
In San Francisco, we had the option of choosing from three different scenarios:
1. Psycho: Slowly you regain consciousness and realize you're inside a psycho’s apartment. You’re alone but not for long... escape before he gets back!
2. Prison: You and your teammates are on death row. There’s no time to waste, you have 1 hour before the execution. Will you escape or will you get fried?
3. Geek: You and your colleagues work for a startup company. Your coked-up boss is not satisfied with how things are going. He’s decided to lock down the office and rig it with explosives. You have one hour to get out!
I obviously chose the Pscyho Room because anyone who knows me knows I'm completely obsessed with Criminal Minds. War and I teamed up with my bestie and her fiance for this who are equally obsessed with Criminal Minds. We were like "We're going to rock this. Reid has taught us so much we basically could be employees of the BAU." Cocky much? A little. Well not to fret, because the masterminds behind PanIQ Room definitely put us in our place.
As soon as we arrived, we got so nervous! Y'all, the room was legit a little scary and made you feel like you were trapped in a psycho's room! But not to fret, we were given a walkie talkie in case we needed some assistance along the way... which we did haha. We had 45 minutes to figure out all the clues and escape the room!
I don't what to tell you too much about the room because I don't want to spoil anything and ruin the fun! Please, go experience this for yourselves!
And if you wanted to know, we sadly did not escape in time :( We were SO bummed!!! We radio'd the supervisor on the other end and asked if we could still try and escape even though we already lost because we were so committed haha. It took us about an extra 10 minutes to figure it out!
It wasn't until we finally finished that the manager let us know that we actually picked the hardest room and only has about a 10% success rate... which made us a feel a little better. But STILL Reid had prepared us and we let him down. We all want to come back very soon to try the room again and hopefully make it out "alive" this time.
But in all seriousness, PanIQ Room was such a fun time and really made you think on your feet and practice your logical thinking. If you're a lover of puzzles, you'll be a lover of PanIQ Room. Even though we did not do it as team building, this would be the perfect team outing for your company. I work full time and actually plan on bringing this up with our publisher as our next team building day! It's so fun to collaborate together to figure out a very, very tricky mind game.
Until next time, PanIQ Room.
